'Ugly' Women Will Defeat Trump, Former PA Gov. Ed Rendell Says
The comments by former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell are causing an internet stir.

Unattractive woman may be Donald Trump’s biggest electoral hurdle in Pennsylvania, former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell told the Washington Post in an interview that is causing an internet stir Wednesday.
Rendell, also the former DNC Chairman, told the Post that Trump’s derogatory and sexist comments about women will “come back to haunt him.”
“Will he have some appeal to working-class Dems in Levittown or Bristol? Sure,” Rendell said in the interview. “For every one he’ll lose one and a half, two Republican women. Trump’s comments like ‘You can’t be a 10 if you’re flat-chested,’ that’ll come back to haunt him.”

“There are probably more ugly women in America than attractive women. People take that stuff personally,” he added.
Rendell has since apologized for his comments, saying "It was dumb and insensitive and stupid, and if I offended anybody, I apologize," according to a statement obtained by the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The Washington Post piece that contained the controversial comments explored Trump's chances of winning Pennsylvania, a state that has voted for the Democratic candidate in every election since 1988. Washington Post reporter Dave Weigel visited Bucks County and spoke with Democratic party leaders in Doylestown.
Rendell is a superdelegate and a fervent Clinton supporter.
However, the reporter who published Rendell's comments defended the comments, saying via Twitter, “Rendell was being snarky. He quoted one of Trump’s remarks on female hotness then made that joke.”
