Warrington Gets $1M Grant For New Police Facility Project
Warrington Township has been awarded a million-dollar grant for its new police facility.
WARRINGTON, PA— Warrington Township has been awarded a million-dollar Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RCAP) grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The funding will go towards a new state-of-the-art police facility planned in the township.
The $8.7 million project is the largest municipal capital building project in Warrington Township history, Chief Daniel Friel said in a statement.
Site construction for the project is already underway. The bids are in for the building construction and will be considered by the Board of Supervisors at a public meeting on Aug. 13. The building construction is expected to start next month, upon the township supervisors accepting the bids.
