Welfare Check Leads To Drug Charges In Warrington
A check of a vehicle by police led to the discovery of five flip-top capsules containing a white crystal-like substance, police reported.
WARRINGTON, PA — A routine welfare check at a Warrington gas station turned into a drug arrest in the early morning hours of March 19, according to police.
At about 3:52 a.m., a Warrington police officer found a 47-year-old man from Ottsville slumped over behind the wheel of a vehicle parked at a Sunoco station.
Police reported that the officer checked the vehicle registration and found it was not on file with PennDOT.

The man told police that he had bought the vehicle just hours earlier on Facebook Market and that a friend had lent him a license plate.
During the encounter, the officer said the man showed physical signs consistent with methamphetamine use.

The man was taken into custody, processed and later released. He was charged with possession.
