When is the First Day of School?

It may be hard to believe, but the start of the new school year is less than a month away. Central Bucks School District students return to the classroom Sept. 3. All schools are closed on Sept. 5 for Rosh Hashanah.

Here's the rest of the 2013-2014 school year at a glance:

• Nov. 26: Half day, parent conference and professional development day
• Nov. 27, 28, 29: Schools closed, Thanksgiving recess
• Dec. 23-Jan. 1, 2014: Schools closed, winter break
• Jan. 2, 2014: Classes resume
• Jan 20, 2014: Schools closed, Martin Luther King Jr Day
• Jan 24, 2014: Early dismissal
• Jan. 27, 2014: Schools closed, professional development
• Feb. 17, 2014: Schools closed, Presidents' Day
• April 3, 2014: Early dismissal
• April 15, 16, 2014: No kindergarten, parent conferences
