"Winning Has Become Habit-Forming" For Doylestown Girls Basketball Team

D-Town elite won their third straight tournament this weekend in Manheim.

Doylestown’s elite 8th grade girls AAU team won their third straight tournament this weekend when they took home the title at the Blue Chip 3-Stripe Pre-Season Challenge.

D-Town Elite not only won the tournament in Manheim, they did so without losing a single game - as they have done in their past two tournament victories.

“Winning has become habit-forming,” says team scorekeeper and spokesperson Don Treon.

The weekend included one close matchup against WV Explosion. However, their four other wins had such large margins of victories that officials had to invoke the mercy rule each time.

D-Town Elite, led by head coach Larry Thierholf and assistants Chris Burke and Todd Brodie, improved their record to 13-0. They will travel to Bethlehem next weekend for the Mid-Atlantic District Championships.
