Women's March on Doylestown To Be Held Saturday

A peaceful march is planned for Saturday, the day after Inauguration Day, in Doylestown.
The Women's March on Doylestown is one of hundreds of events happening Saturday, Jan. 21 around the country.
Organizers say the event is to being held to show solidarity with the Women's March on Washington — a movement bringing together people of all genders, ages, races, cultures, political affiliations and backgrounds "to affirm our shared humanity and pronounce our bold message of resistance and self-determination."

The march will begin at 11 a.m. and will be held throughout Doylestown Borough. All are welcome, regardless of gender, organizers said.
Participants will gather at 10 N. Main Street (in front of Starbucks) and march on the sidewalks in town. A short rally is planned, and then marchers will head back to Starbucks. It will be a stroller-friendly route, organizers said.

"We stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families - recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country," organizers said on the event website.
