Judge Caulfield Hears Kidnapping, Theft Drug Cases

Forest Hills District Judge Thomas Caulfield heard the following cases on June 5:

• Xia Xiang Lomax, 23, of Port Vue, was held for court on charges of concealment of the whereabouts of a child, interference with custody of children and kidnapping of a minor. Swissvale police filed the charges after a May 23 incident in which Lomax is accused of kidnapping her 2-year-old biological child while she did not have parental rights. The child was taken from a Melrose Street residence, and police caught up with them in the area of Waverly Street.

• Troy D. Lower, 18, of Apollo, was held for court on a count of theft. Churchill police filed the charges after a May 22, 2012, incident in which he failed to install carpeting at a Churchill home after being paid.

• Kadeem Warren, 23, of Chalfant, waived a preliminary hearing on charges of receiving stolen property and access device fraud. Forest Hills police filed the charges after an April 1 incident in which Warren is accused of withdrawing more than $1,000 from an account with a stolen debit card.

• Chester K. Stone, 20, of White Oak, waived a preliminary hearing on charges of manufacture, deliver and possess a controlled substance with intent; possession of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges of intent to possess a controlled substance and manufacture, deliver and possess a controlled substance with intent were withdrawn. Shane R. Weisend, 21, of Turtle Creek, waived a preliminary hearing on a charge of intent to possess a controlled substance. Charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving too slow, careless driving and two counts of manufacture, deliver and possess a controlled substance with intent were withdrawn. Forest Hills police filed the charges after a March 23 incident on Greenfield Avenue in Chalfant.

• Tamika Hancock, 38, of Wilkinsburg, waived a preliminary hearing on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle, harassment and criminal mischief. Swissvale police filed the charges after a Feb. 12 incident on Washington Avenue.

• Richard E. Jennings, 45, of East Liberty, waived a preliminary hearing on charges of driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.02 percent or greater—third offense, operating a vehicle without financial responsibility, obedience to traffic control device, speeding, careless driving, reckless driving and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. State police filed the charges after a Jan. 2 accident on the Parkway East in Churchill.
