Wilkinsburg Teen Accused of Pointing BB Gun at Police

A teen faces charges after pointing a BB gun at Wilkinsburg police officers.

Jesse Curtis Borner, 19, of Wilkinsburg, waived a preliminary hearing on charges of disorderly conduct and three counts of recklessly endangering another person. His case went before Wilkinsburg District Justice Kim Hoots on May 23.

According to a police report, police saw Borner with what they thought was a gun. As he led them on a foot chase, he pointed the gun—later discovered to be a BB gun—at the officers. The incident happened on May 11.

The following cases also went before Hoots:

• Jason Keller,33, of Makleton, Pa., waived a preliminary hearing in charges of intent to posess a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. A charge of resisting arrest was withdrawn. Wilkinsburg police filed the charges after a May 9 incident on South Braddock and Penn avenues. 
  
• Tyrek Germany, 20, of Homewood, was held for court on charges of conspiracy; tampering with evidence; three counts of manufacturing, delivery or possession of a controlled substance with intent; and three counts of intent to possess a controlled substance. Wilkinsburg police filed the charges after a May 17 incident on Coal Street.
  
• Anthony Perry, 25, of Penn Hills waived a preliminary hearing on charges of driving with a suspended license, reckless driving, careless driving and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Wilkinsburg police filed the charges after an April 7 accident on Hill Avenue.
