Since her tenure began with the local personal care community, Lentz has accomplished many things. Her achievements include having served on the Lancaster Activities Directors Board as Secretary, Vice President and President; becoming a Certified Healthcare Musician and Certified Dementia Practitioner; working as an internal consultant for Juniper sister communities’ Connections departments; and propelling the Juniper Communities Catalyst program forward with events such as the 55+ Open Mic Nights at Bube’s Brewery.

Lentz’s initial work in healthcare began in a non-traditional way, when she volunteered the summer prior to starting her college career with the group, Songs for the Journey. The music ministry provided music and companionship to individuals battling terminal illnesses. Through the connections she made while volunteering, Lentz was offered a position working part-time in the Activities department at a skilled nursing community as she was nearing the end of school. Lentz eventually graduated cum laude from Millersville University with her Bachelor of Art degree in music performance. After graduation, she took a position as an Activity Director in a skilled nursing community.

After 8 years in skilled nursing, she moved to personal care, working as the Activities Director for Hearthstone Manor, before it was acquired by Juniper Communities and renamed Juniper Village at Mount Joy.

Renee Lentz was preceded in her current Executive Director role by Debra Miller, who is newly retired.

Juniper Village at Mount Joy is located at 607 Hearthstone Lane, Mount Joy, PA 17552.
