Annual Pennsylvania Dairy and Allied Industries Association Meeting Announcement (morningagclips.com) — Harrisburg will host the Annual Pennsylvania Dairy and Allied Industries Association Meeting on Friday, Oct. 23, at the Farm Show Complex's Susquehanna Room. Local residents and industry members are invited to attend the open session, share feedback on the All-American Dairy Show, and even suggest nominees for three board seats up for renewal this year.

2. Former Dauphin County park becomes part of state park (abc27.com) — Harrisburg-area residents now have easier access to miles of hiking, as former Hocker Park has been folded into the Boyd Big Tree Preserve Conservation Area with new parking and trail connections. The expansion links Harrisburg and its suburbs to more than 12 miles of trails within about 10 miles of the city, reflecting Dauphin County's rapid population growth and local demand for outdoor space.

3. Wanted man 'Cuzzy' linked to crack trade arrested by Lewistown police after hiding in dark (local21news.com) — Lewistown police arrested Christopher "Cuzzy" Denson, a Steelton man allegedly tied to crack distribution, after he fled into a suspected drug house and tried to hide. Officers later learned he had multiple felony warrants from Harrisburg City Police and the Dauphin County Sheriff related to drug deliveries and gun charges, and he now faces additional court proceedings.

4. Pennsylvania State Police Accepting Applications for Youth Camp (pa.gov) — Families in and around Harrisburg with teens eyeing law enforcement or military careers can now apply for the Pennsylvania State Police's 2027 Youth Camp. The weeklong program at Messiah University offers hands-on police and National Guard activities, leadership training, and scholarships, with local American Legion posts covering registration costs for selected cadets.
