12-Year-Old Cited, Fraud, Burglary: Haverford Police Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – Haverford Township Police issued their weekly crime report, which covers incidents and arrests that occurred between Feb. 21 and Feb. 27 in the township.

Notable incidents include a 12-year-old cited for disorderly conduct, a burglary, four fraud cases, and vandalism.

The report also includes the number of traffic citations issued in that time.

INCIDENTS:

• Burglary on the 2900 block of Haverford Road on Feb. 21 at 6:13 p.m. - Forced entry was gained through a window. A television was reported stolen.
• Vandalism at Darby and Strathmore Roads on Feb. 21 at 3:08 p.m. hours– Vehicle window was smashed.
• Disorderly Conduct at the Haverford Middle School, 1700 block of E. Darby Road, on Feb. 21 at 9:05 a.m. – A white male, 12, was cited for disorderly conduct.
• Fraud at Knox Refrigeration, 700 block of Pont Reading Road, on Feb. 22 at 8:46 a.m. – Victim reported that an unknown person ordered two glass door coolers valued over $10,000. The items were shipping prior to the victim being notified the credit card was declined. The suspect then provided three other credit cards and they were also declined.
• Identity Theft on the 400 block of Upland Road on Feb. 22 at 7:36 p.m. - Victim reported that a PayPal account was opened using her identity by an unknown person.
• Fraud on the 500 block of Wales Road on Feb. 23 at 9:53 a.m. – Victim reported an unauthorized transaction on her debit card.
• Fraud on the 400 block of Pilgrim Lane on Feb. 23 at 2 p.m. hours - $1,350 was withdrawn from the victim’s checking account without his permission or knowledge.
• Fraud on the 200 block of Strathmore Road on Feb. 23 at 3:48 p.m. – Victim reported three unauthorized purchases from her checking account.
• Public Drunkenness at Eagle Road and Lincoln Avenue on Feb. 23 at 4:58 p.m. – A white male, 45, of the 1300 block of Club House Road, Gladwyne, was cited for public drunkenness.
• Criminal Mischief at Bailey Park, 600 block of Washington Avenue, on Feb. 24 at 10:45 p.m. – A group of juveniles kicked the fence surrounding the rock garden causing several sections to break off.
• Vandalism at Veterans Field, unit block of W. Manoa Road, on Feb. 24 at 9:05 p.m. – Two trash cans were knocked over. Trash and debris was scattered throughout the pavilion.
• Public Drunkenness one the 2400 block of Olcott Avenue on Feb. 24 at 1:20 a.m. – A black female, 38, 6100 block of Locust Street, Philadelphia was cited for public drunkenness.

• A white male, 42, 300 block of Gleaves Road, Springfield. Charges: Warrant. Location: 300 block of Francis Drive. Date: Feb. 23 at 7:19 p.m.
• A white male, 41, unit block of Gold Finch Drive, Mantua, NJ. Charges: Retail Theft. Location: Giant (100 block of W. Township Line Road). Date: Feb. 23 at 1:41 p.m.
• A white male, 54, 300 block of Lansdowne Avenue, Upper Darby. Charges: DUI and careless driving. Location: Darby Road and Park Road. Date: Feb. 23 at 9:07 p.m.
• A white female, 41, 6300 block of Allman Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail Theft. Location: 1100 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Feb. 24 at 2:17 p.m.
• A black male, 50, 5500 block of Girard Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Warrant. Location: 1200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Feb. 25 at 9:45 p.m.
• A white male, 63, 200 block of N. Linden Avenue, Upper Darby. Charges: DUI, careless driving, accidents involving damage to unattended vehicle, failure to report accident, speeding and disorderly conduct. Location: Earlington Road and Woodmere Way. Date: Feb. 25 at 7:22 p.m.
• A white male, 36, 1300 block of Northup Road, Drexel Hill. Charges: Simple Assault. Location: 1300 block of Northup Road. Date: Feb. 23 at 8:39 a.m.
• A white male, 52, 1000 block of E. Darby Road, Havertown. Charges: DUI. Location: Manoa Road and Earlington Road. Date: Feb. 27 at 9:27 p.m.
