5 Vehicles Broken Into In 1 Day: Haverford Police

All of the break ins and attempted break ins happened in the same area in Havertown this week, according to Haverford Township Police.

HAVERTOWN, PA – Police in Haverford Township are reporting a string of vehicle break ins that occurred on the same day in the same area of Haverford Township earlier this week.

According to police, at least four vehicles were burglarized between 6:26 a.m. and 8:27 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 6 in Havertown. Additionally, a victim reported later the night of Nov. 6 that his vehicle was entered and a wallet was stolen.

Police also said two attempted vehicle break ins were reported at 7:05 a.m. and 8:35 a.m. that same day.

All of the break ins and attempted break ins occurred in the same, small area of Havertown, on Foster Avenue, as well as on Juniper and Spring roads, police said.

The first theft occurred at 6:56 a.m. on the 200 block of Foster, police said. In that incident, a wallet with a driver's license, credit cards, and debit cards was stolen.

The second incident reported that day was an attempted theft from a vehicle on the same block. At about 7:05 a.m. an unlocked vehicle was entered but nothing was reported missing, police said.

At 8:15 a.m., an unlocked vehicle on the 100 block of Juniper Road was entered and loose change was stolen.

At 8:26 a.m., another vehicle on the 200 block of Foster Avenue was stolen from. The suspect stolen $17 from inside the unlocked vehicle.

About a minute later at 8:27 a.m., an unlocked vehicle on the 400 block of Spring Road was entered and the vehicle's manual was stolen.

Then at 8:35 a.m., a person on the 200 block of Foster Avenue said his vehicle alarm went off and he saw a white man in a sweatshirt running down the street. Police said the suspect did not get into the vehicle.

Later that night at about 9:02 p.m., police said a person on the unit block of Juniper Road reported that he saw two black males enter his vehicle. In that case, a wallet with $50 and lottery tickets was stolen.

Additionally, police arrested and charged a 22-year-old male who was seen in the back yard of a home on the 200 block of Spring Road at about 2:17 a.m.

It's not clear if all of these incidents are related.

Residents should lock their vehicles when they are unattended.
