Armed Robber Hits 7-Eleven In Haverford Friday

A man made off with cash after pulling a gun and pistol whipping a store employee during an early morning robbery Friday, police said.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — A 7-Eleven store in Haverford Township was robbed at gunpoint Friday morning and police are now searching for the suspect.

According to police, the robbery occurred at 5:30 a.m. on Friday, March 22 at the 7-Eleven on West Eagle Road.

A man came into the store, pulled out a handgun and pistol whipped an employee, police said.

He then took cash from the register and fled on foot toward Belvedere Avenue, police said.

Police described the suspect as a black man with a medium build.

He was wearing a dark hooded jacket, gray sweatpants, black Chuck Taylor-style sneakers and a dark colored ski mask.

Police said this suspect appears to be the same person who committed a similar armed
robbery at a 7-Eleven on City Ave in Lower Merion at 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 21.
