Burglaries, Thefts, Fraud Mark Haverford Police Report
Police said two homes, one on Howell Lane and the other on North Drexel Avenue, were burglarized recently. See full report details here.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – Haverford Township Police recently issued their latest weekly crime report, which covers police incidents that occurred between Feb. 28 and March 6.
There were two burglaries and one burglary attempt, as well as thefts, fraud, identity thefts, and more.
The report also covers arrests and traffic citations issued in that time frame.

INCIDENTS:

- Burglary on the 500 block of Howell Lane on Feb. 28 at 11:33 a.m. – Forced entry was gained through the kitchen window. A box containing three watches and a small amount of money was stolen.
- Theft on the unit block of Joann Circle on Feb. 28 at 12:37 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, a wallet and loose change was stolen.
- Disorderly Conduct at the Quarry Center, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Feb. 28 at 2:31 p.m. – A white female, 24, 200 block of 5th Avenue, Wilmington DE was cited for disorderly conduct.
- Theft on the 2200 block of Haverford Road on March 1 at 5:19 p.m. – A white male stole money from the tip jar at the snack bar.
- Burglary on the unit block of N. Drexel Avenue on March 4 at 806 p.m. – Forced entry was gained through a window. The bedrooms were ransacked and jewelry was reported missing.
- Attempted Burglary at the Haverford Middle School, 1700 block of Darby Road, on March 4 at 8:12 p.m. – Police received a report of two juvenile males forcing entry into the school. No one was found inside of the building and nothing appeared to be damaged or missing.
- Theft at the Quadrangle, 3300 block of Darby Road, on March 4 at 10:17 a.m. – Prescription medication was stolen from the victim’s medicine cabinet.
- Fraud on the 1700 block of Ridgeway Road on March 5 at 2:06 p.m. – Victim reported an unauthorized withdrawal from his checking account.
- Identity Theft on the 1400 block of Leedom Road on March 6 at 9:39 a.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to make changes to her cell phone account. A credit card account was also opened using her identity and over $6,000 in purchases were made.
- Identity Theft on the 500 block of Wynne Avenue on March 6 at 8:31 a.m. – An unknown person used the victim’s identity at a medical office leaving him with an outstanding balance over $1,000.
ARRESTS:
- A white male, 43, unit block of Mercer Avenue, Havertown. Charges: Simple assault and harassment. Location: unit block of Mercer Avenue. Date: Feb. 28 at 1:03 a.m.
- A black male, 48, 1700 block of S. 65th Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Forgery, theft by deception, criminal conspiracy and access device fraud. Location: Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: Feb. 28 at 3:32 p.m.
- A white male, 14, was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: Ivy Rock and Windsor Park Lanes. Date: Feb. 24 at 4:22 p.m.
- A white male, 14, was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Prohibited offensive weapons and disorderly conduct. Location: 1700 block of Darby Road. Date: Feb. 27 at 3:21 p.m.
