Burglary, Stolen Vehicle, Thefts: Haverford Police Blotter

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – Haverford Township Police were busy in the last week if the latest crime blotter is any indication.

Issued Wednesday, June 13, the most recent report from the police department highlights 16 incidents handled – including burglary, vehicle theft, and fraud – and 13 arrests, as well as the number of citations issued.

INCIDENTS:

• Theft at the YMCA, 800 block of N. Eagle Road, on June 7 at 7:09 p.m. – Two credit cards were stolen from a secured locker. The victim was notified by the credit card companies that a $3,000 purchase attempt was made.
• Attempted Theft on the unit block of Grove Place on June 7 at 12:03 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, nothing was reported missing.
• Motor Vehicle Theft on the unit block of Myrtle Avenue on June 7 at 9:31 a.m.
• Public Drunkenness on the unit block of S. Eagle Road on June 7 at 6:41 p.m. – A white male, 47, 300 block of Media Line Road, Newtown Square was cited for public drunkenness.
• Disorderly Conduct at Fine Wine and Good Spirits, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on June 7 at 2:34 p.m. – A white male, 56, 100 block of Sycamore Road was cited for disorderly conduct.
• Burglary on the 900 block of Powdermill Lane on June 9 at 10:16 p.m. – Forced entry was gained through a rear window. Jewelry, handbags and a duffel bag were stolen from the master bedroom closet.
• Fraud on the 100 block of Upland Road on June 9 at 12:33 p.m. – Victim reported that someone made multiple unauthorized purchases with her debit card.
• Liquor Law Violation at Merry Place, 600 block of Glendale Road, on June 9 at 9:14 p.m. – A white male, 16 was cited for underage drinking.
• Theft at Sharro Gas Station, 2400 block of W. Darby Road, on June 11 at 4:18 p.m. - Forced entry was gained into a shed. Three cartons of cigarettes were stolen.
• Attempted Theft at Dougherty Landscaping (900 block of N. Eagle Road) on June 11 at 8:25 a.m. – An unknown actor attempted to gained entry into a locked storage shed. Approximately $200 worth of damage was done to the front of the shed.
• Identity Theft on the 1900 block of Lawrence Road on June 11 at 2:59 p.m. – Victim reported that someone attempted to open a Sprint account using her identity.
• Fraud on the 2400 block of Chestnut Avenue on June 11 at 10:36 a.m. – An unauthorized charge was made with the victim’s credit card.
• Bicycle Theft at the 500 block of Hathaway Lane on June 12 at 6:49 p.m.
• Theft at the 300 block of Mill Road on June 12 at 10:47 a.m. – A leaf blower was stolen from a truck.
• Bicycle Theft at Lynnewood School, 1400 block of Lawrence Road, on June 12 at 1:25 p.m.
• Theft at Acme, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on June 12 at 9:19 p.m. – Victim reported that her purse was stolen from her unattended shopping cart.

ARRESTS:

• A white male, 24, unit block of Lloyd Place, Wilmington, DE. Charges: DUI. Location: E. Darby and E. Eagle Roads. Date: May 30 at 2:18 a.m.
• A white male, 35, 500 block of N. Evans Avenue, Pottstown. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: June 6 at 4:45 p.m.
• A black female, 18, 400 block of N. 67th Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of drug paraphernalia, no drivers license and duties at stop sign. Location: Karakung Drive and Lakeside Avenue. Date: June 6 at 7 a.m.
• A white female, 33, 1200 block of Almhouse Road, Doylestown. Charges: Receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: unit block of Steel Road. Date: June 6 at 2:05 p.m.
• A white male, 31, unit block of Steel Road, Havertown. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: unit block of Steel Road. Date: June 6 at 2:05 p.m.
• A white male, 36, 4000 block of Wells Street, Philadelphia Charges: Theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property Location: 700 block of Humphreys Road Date: June 7 at 7:30 a.m. (incident occurred on May 29)
• A white male, 37, unit block of Huron Avenue, Norwood. Charges: Public drunkenness, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: 100 block of Signal Road. Date: June 7 at 5:16 p.m.
• A white male, 35, 1300 block of Darby Road, Havertown. Charges: Loitering and prowling at night and disorderly conduct. Location: 1400 block of Darby Road Date: June 8 at 5:11 a.m.
• A white male, 21, 600 block of Paddock Road, Havertown. Charges: DUI and careless driving. Location: 300 block of David Drive. Date: June 10 at 2:14 a.m.
• A white male, 34, 100 block of E. Turnbull Avenue, Havertown. Charges: DUI. Location: Warren Avenue and Eagle Road. Date: June 11 at 11:23 p.m.
• A white male, 61, 2300 block of Darby Road, Havertown. Charges: Warrant. Location: 2300 block of Darby Road Date: June 12 at 11:24 a.m.
• A white male, 15 was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: Haverford High School, 200 block of Mill Road. Date: June 7 at 1:31 p.m.
• A black male, 16 was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Possession of weapons on school property and purchase alcoholic beverages by a minor. Location: Haverford High School, 200 block of Mill Road. Date: June 7 at 1:31 p.m.
