Couple Of Interest In Delco Teen's Killing Located: Police

About a week after Upper Darby Police said they found one person of interest in Michael Garr's death, they have found a couple of interest.

UPPER DARBY, PA — Police in Delaware County are making progress in the investigation of teenager Michael Garr's stabbing death.

Upper Darby Police said they have found two people of interest in the 15-year-old boy's death.

"We have asked the public for help in identifying a couple (holding hands) who we believed could provide us with information," police said. "That couple was identified, and we have spoken with them at length."

Last week, police said they found a third person of interest in the case and have spoken to him "extensively."

Despite police locating these people of interest, there is no word on who may have killed Garr, an Upper Darby High School student, or what led to his deadly April 21 stabbing.

"We have had an abundance of support from the community, and we have vetted every tip that has come our way," police said. "We want everyone to know we are working tirelessly to bring the person or people responsible for this horrific crime to justice. We ask that you be vigilant, report any suspicious activity to us immediately, and know we have officers in the area."

Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 27 has offered $10,000 for information in connection with Garr's death.

Police are asking anyone in the Oakview section of Drexel Hill near or off Bridge Street, or along the Baltimore Pike corridor in Clifton Heights, to contact them.

Authorities are also asking anyone who may have surveillance video from April 21, about 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., to contact them.

Anyone with footage of the area at that time should send it to info@udpd.org, or information on the incident should call police at 484-574-1157.

A GoFundMe campaign has been established to support Garr's family.

"The family is devastated and trying to process this senseless act," organizer Michael Peabody said on the page. "Looking to support the family and help to defray funeral costs as they bury their teenaged loved one."

As of Tuesday morning, nearly $55,900 has been raised by the campaign.
