Delco Police Arrest Suspect In Blind Man's Violent Robbery
The 25-year-old Philadelphia man is also accused of robbing and assaulting a man on the same block about a week later, police said.

UPPER DARBY, PA – Police in Upper Darby said a suspect has been arrested in connection with the violent robbery that seriously injured a 75-year-old legally blind man on Nov. 26. Police said the same man was arrested in connection with a Dec. 4 robbery and assault, as well.
According to police, Marvin Harper, 25, of Philadelphia, is in police custody in connection with robbery and assault incidents that occurred on Nov. 26 and Dec. 4 in Upper Darby.
Harper will be charged with two counts each of felony robbery, felony aggravated assault, simple assault, receiving stolen property, theft, and terrorsitic threats, police said. He is awaiting his preliminary arraignment, police said.

Harper is accused of robbing the legally blind man of his cell phone and $125 cash after allegedly tackling him from behind at about 2:30 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 26 on the unit block of Glendale Road, police said.
Police said the victim was taken to a hospital for treatment after he was attacked. Police said he suffered a femur and hip fracture.

Harper is also accused of robbing a 60-year-old man on Dec. 4 on the same unit block of Glendale Road, police said. Police said he stole the man's cell phone and $500 cash.
Harper was arrested after a homeowner whose security footage caught the first robbery on camera spotted Harper in the 69th Street Terminal. The resident called police who took Harper into custody and found him to be in possession of synthetic marijuana.
During an interview with detectives, Harper gave a statement admitting to both robberies, police said.
Harper is also facing drug and paraphernalia possession charges.
