Lunch with the League

Come and have lunch with your neighbors as the League of
Women Voters of Haverford Township hosts another “Lunch with the League” on
Wednesday, July 25th at noon at Applebee’s Restaurant at Manoa
Shopping Center. Here is a chance to discuss a topic of interest to you and
others. This month’s topic will be the upcoming elections – your thoughts about
campaigning and voting issues.  The
League needs to reserve space at Applebee’s, so call 610-446-8383 to leave your
name and phone number so that we will know the numbers who plan to attend the
lunch. Or you can email katederiel@verizon.net
with the same information. Please reserve your space by July 24th.  The cost of the lunch will depend on what you
choose to order at Applebee’s.

The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization,
founded in 1920, when women in the U.S. first got the right to vote. Both men
and women members of the League work for honest and transparent government, by
informing voters about candidates in a non-partisan way (see SmartVoter.org),
by helping with voter registration, and by organizing candidates forums before
elections. Everyone is welcome at the Lunch with the League on July 25th!
