Haverford Police Blotter: 10 Thefts, 4 Frauds, 2 Burglaries, More

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – Haverford Police issued their most recent crime blotter on Wednesday and the new blotter covers incidents in the township that occurred between July 25 and July 30.

Police handled 10 different theft cases, four fraud cases, two burglaries, and one identity theft case.

The report also covered arrests made and citations issued in that time.

INCIDENTS:

• Theft on the 900 block of Railroad Avenue on July 25 at 2:24 p.m. – Four cases of custom cosmetic implants valued at $250 each was stolen from an unlocked closet.
• Theft at Llanerch Country Club, 900 block of West Chester Pike, on July 26 at 4:04 p.m. – Vehicle window was smashed, a bag containing $300, credit cards, and checkbook was stolen.
• Fraud on the 200 block of Lee Circle on July 26 at 10:16 a.m. – The victim discovered $8,350 missing from her checking account withdrawn by five fraudulent checks.
• Fraud on the 100 block of Ellis Road on July 26 at 11:57 a.m. – Three unauthorized purchases were made with the victim’s debit card.
• Burglary at Rita’s Water Ice, 500 block of West Chester Pike, on July 27 at 7:26 a.m. – Forced entry was gained by prying open the door. An empty safe was stolen.
• Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on July 27 at 9:31 p.m. – A black male and black female stole $448 worth of merchandise and fled the store.
• Theft on the 400 block of Llanerch Avenue on July 27 at 9:36 a.m. – Prescription medication was stolen.
• Burglary on the 1400 block of Darby Road on July 29 at 12:38 p.m. – Forced entry was gained through a rear door. Nothing was reported missing.
• Theft at the Haverford Dog Park, 8000 block of Parkview Drive, on July 29 at 9:47 p.m. – Vehicle was entered, a purse containing $20, credit cards, identification and a checkbook was stolen.
• Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on July 30 at 10:10 p.m. – A white female stole $1,325 of merchandise and fled the store.
• Theft on the 600 block of Washington Avenue on July 30 at 1:38 p.m. – Two unlocked vehicles were entered, loose change was stolen.
• Theft at Norman Carpet, 500 block of W. Lancaster Avenue, on July 30 at 2:21 p.m. – Vehicle tag was stolen.
• Fraud on the 200 block of Harvard Road on July 30 at 1:23 p.m. – Victim reported that $42,359 was fraudulently transferred out of her checking account into a credit union account.
• Fraud on the 1900 block of Pennview Road on July 30 at 5:05 p.m. – Victim reported that $4,800 was fraudulently withdrawn from his checking account.
• Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on July 31 at 8:33 a.m. – Two black females stole a floor scrubber and steam mop and fled the store.
• Bicycle Theft on the 2100 block of Darby Road on July 31 at 5:03 p.m.
• Identity Theft on the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue on July 31 at 2:46 p.m. – Victim reported several fraudulent accounts were opened using her identity.

ARRESTS:

• A white male, 39, 500 block of East Manoa Road, Havertown. Charges: DUI, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, careless driving, failure to stop and render aid and failure to notify police of an accident. Location: East Township Line Road and Foster Road. Date: July 27 at 5:56 p.m.
• A black male, 26, 300 block of Owen Avenue, Lansdowne. Charges: DUI and careless driving. Location: 1300 block of West Chester Pike. Date: July 28 at 5:24 a.m.
• A white male, 23, 400 block of Legacy Boulevard, Greenwood, IN. Charges: Simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct. Location: CREC parking lot, 7000 block of Parkview Drive. Date: July 29 at 7:27 p.m.
• A white male, 17 was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Retail theft. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: July 7 at 5:13 p.m.
