Haverford Police Blotter: 14 Thefts, Burglaries, Frauds, More

Police dealt with many theft cases, including thefts from vehicles, bike thefts, retail theft, and more. See the full blotter here.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – Haverford Township Police released their weekly crime blotter Wednesday.

The report is extensive, featuring 30 separate crime incidents reported between Aug. 15 and Aug. 21.

Police handled 14 separate theft cases, including bike thefts, thefts from vehicles, and more; two fraud cases; two burglaries; and more.

INCIDENTS:

  • Burglary in the 200 block of E. Township Line Road on Aug. 15 at 7:07 p.m. – officers responded to the above location for a burglary. Victim states that an unknown person gained access to her home by breaking a window pane. Home was ransacked, nothing missing.
  • Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Aug. 15 at 6:34 a.m. – An unknown white male entered the store and stole two drills.
  • Theft from Vehicle in the 200 block of Clamar Avenue on Aug. 15 at 1:37 p.m. – victim states that two stretchers and a book of CD’s were taken out his unlocked vehicle.
  • Theft from Vehicle in the 200 block of Whitemarsh Road on Aug. 15 at 5:55 p.m. – victim reports that an unknown actor took his wallet out of his unlocked vehicle. Numerous credit card transactions were made using the victim’s stolen credit cards. Investigation is ongoing.
  • Theft from Vehicle in the 600 block of Kenilworth Road on Aug. 15 at 3:38 p.m. – victim states that an unknown actor stole several bottles of wine and a large amount of loose change from her vehicle. Her vehicle was parked in her driveway, possibly unsecured.
  • Theft from Westgate Hills Rehab, 2000 block of Old West Chester Pike, on Aug. 15 at 3:59 p.m. – victim states that an unknown actor took two $50 bills out her unlocked dresser drawer.
  • Fraud in the 600 block of Woodland Avenue on Aug. 15 at 8:33 a.m. – victim states that he paid his contractor money to complete a job, check was cashed, and work was never completed.
  • Fraud in the 600 block of Old Lancaster Avenue on Aug. 15 at 12:45 p.m. – victim reports that his business email account was hacked. Customers were sent emails asking for money, the transactions did not take place.
  • Aggravated Assault at Belmont and Hathaway Lane on Aug. 16 at 11:31 p.m. – Investigation is ongoing.
  • Theft from Vehicle in the 100 block of Brentwood Road on Aug. 16 at 7:55 a.m. – loose change and gift cards were taken from the victim’s unlocked vehicle.
  • Theft from Vehicle in the 400 block of Pembroke Avenue on Aug. 16 at 9:15 a.m. – victim states that money was taken from her unlocked vehicle. Vehicle was parked in her driveway.
  • Attempted Theft from Vehicle in the 300 block of Lenox Road on Aug. 16 at 2:06 a.m. – victim’s vehicle was rummaged through, nothing is missing.
  • Attempted Theft from Vehicle in the 300 block of Oxford Road on Aug. 16 at 2:06 a.m. – victim left her vehicle unlocked, the car alarm went off when the vehicle’s door was opened.
  • Attempted Theft from Vehicle in the 1700 block of Earlington Road on Aug. 16 at 9:56 a.m. – victim’s vehicle was rummaged thru, nothing is missing.
  • Identity Theft in the 100 block of Buck Lane on Aug. 16 at 9:36 a.m. – an unknown actor attempted to open a credit card account using his identity.
  • Theft from Vehicle in the 100 block of Brentwood Road on Aug. 19 at 6:25 p.m. – loose change was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the victim’s driveway.
  • Public Drunkenness in the unit block of Upland Road on Aug. 19 at 3:45 a.m. – A white male, 25, unit block of Upland Road, Havertown was cited with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
  • Harassment at Wawa, 1000 block of Darby Road, on Aug. 18 at 9:36 p.m. – officers responded to the above location for a person being followed. A white male, 49, 1100 block of Bryan Street, Drexel Hill, was cited for Harassment.
  • Attempted Burglary in the unit block of E. Golfview Road on Aug. 19 at 9:47 a.m. – Entry was attempted through a ground level window.
  • Disorderly Conduct at Wawa, unit block of E. Eagle Road, on Aug. 19 at 12:44 p.m. – A white male, 56, 3500 block of Darby Road, Haverford was cited.
  • Liquor Laws in the 500 block of Strathmore Road on Aug. 6 at 11:37 p.m. – A white male, 18, 100 block of Shelbourne Road was cited with Underage Drinking.
  • Bicycle Theft in the 800 block of Homestead Avenue on Aug. 20 at 12:25 p.m.
  • Bicycle Theft in the unit block of Yale Road on Aug. 20 at 4:29 p.m.
  • Attempted Theft from Vehicle at Chestnut and Roland Roads on Aug. 20 at 2:57 a.m. – while on patrol in the above area, an interior light was seen on in a driveway. Contact was made with the owner; vehicle was rummaged through but nothing appeared missing.
  • Theft from Vehicle in the 600 block of Kenilworth on Aug. 20 at 3:38 a.m. – E-ZPass and loose change were taken out of the vehicle.
  • Theft from Vehicle in the 100 block of Strathmore on Aug. 20 at 6:57 a.m. – loose change was taken the victim’s vehicle.
  • Burglary in the unit block of E. Langhorne Road on Aug. 21 at 9 a.m. – an unknown person gained entry to a home at the above location through an unlocked first floor window. Jewelry was taken.
  • Theft from Vehicle in the 700 block of Georges Lane on Aug. 21 at 5 p.m. – victim states that an unknown actor stole his wallet out of his unlocked vehicle. Numerous charges were made using the victim’s stolen credit cards.
  • Fraud in the 1600 block of Darby Road on Aug. 21 at 9:33 a.m. – victim states that his business email was hacked. Wire transfers were made in a large amount of money. Investigation is ongoing.
  • Criminal Mischief in the 200 block of Glen Gary Drive on Aug. 21 at 9:15 a.m. – victim reports that an unknown person keyed his vehicle.

  • A white male, 57, 100 block of Sycamore Road, Havertown. Charges: Indecent Assault and Harassment. Location: 100 block of Sycamore Road. Date: July 8 at 4:51 p.m.
  • A white male, 30, 1000 block of Bon Air Road, Havertown. Charges: Theft by Deception and Receiving Stolen Property. Location: Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: Aug. 1 at 10:30 a.m.
  • A white male, 55, 1900 block of W. Darby Road, Havertown. Charges: DUI. Location: 1900 block of W. Darby Road. Date: Aug. 12 at 9:20 p.m.
  • A white male, 46, 500 block of Wales Road, Havertown. Charges: DUI. Location: Garfield and Grant Roads. Date: Aug. 16 at 10:35 p.m.
  • A white male, 43, 100 block of N. Ormond Avenue, Havertown. Charges: DUI. Location: 100 block of S. Eagle Road. Date: Aug. 19 at 12:50 a.m.
  • A black male, 21, unit block of Southridge Road, Darby. Charges: Possession with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Marijuana, Possession / Use of Drug Paraphernalia. Location: unit block of E. Wilmont Avenue. Date: Aug. 19 at 4:55 p.m.
  • A black male, 22, 300 block of Margate Road, Upper Darby. Charges: Possession with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Marijuana, Possession / Use of Drug Paraphernalia. Location: unit block of E. Wilmont Avenue Date: Aug. 19 at 4:55 p.m.
  • A white male, 51, unit block of Holbrook Road, Havertown. Charges: Contempt for Violation of Order or Agreement. Location: unit block of Holbrook Road. Date: Aug. 19 at 10:30 p.m.
  • A black female, 21, 1800 block of Ashurst Road, Philadelphia. Charges: Aggravated Assault, Retail Theft, Criminal Conspiracy. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Aug. 21 at 7:55 p.m.
  • A white female, 21, 600 block of Ashland Avenue, Secane. Charges: Retail Theft, Aggravated Assault, Criminal Conspiracy, Possession of Marijuana, Use/ Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Resisting Arrest, Fleeing / Attempting to Elude Police. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Aug. 21 at 7:55 p.m.
