Haverford Police Blotter: 18 Teens Caught Drinking, Thefts, Fraud

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – Haverford Police released their weekly crime blotter on Wednesday, highlighting police activity in the township that occurred between Aug. 1 and Aug. 7.

Most notably, police busted an underage drinking party on Aug. 6 at a home on Strathmore Road where 18 teenagers were cited for underage drinking.

The blotter also includes the number of citations issued in that time frame.

INCIDENTS:

• Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Aug. 1 at 10:30 a.m. – A black male stole $639.08 worth of merchandise and fled the store.
• Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Aug. 1 at 12:51 p.m. – A black male stolen $788 worth of merchandise and fled the store.
• Theft at the 100 block of Earlington Road on Aug. 1 at 5:31 a.m. – Two unlocked vehicles were entered, $40, loose change and $30 in lottery tickets was stolen.
• Theft at the 100 block of Stockton Road on Aug. 1 at 8:30 p.m. – A package was stolen from the front of the residence after it was delivered.
• Theft at the unit block of Foster Avenue on Aug. 1 at 6:40 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, loose change was stolen.
• Fraud at the 100 block of S. Eagle Road on Aug. 1 at 8:41 a.m. – Victim reported an unauthorized purchase with her debit card.
• Fraud at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Aug. 1 at 10:30 a.m. – Loss prevention associate reported a fraudulent return.
• Fraud at the 500 block of Greenview Lane on Aug. 1 at 10:35 a.m. – A fraudulent check was cashed.
• Theft at the 1300 block of West Chester Pike on Aug. 2 at 1 p.m. – license plate was stolen.
• Theft at the 1000 block of Carroll Road on Aug. 3 at 1:57 p.m. – GPS and $22 was stolen.
• Fraud at Santander Bank, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on Aug. 3 at 10:15 a.m. – A black male attempted to fraudulently withdraw money from an account. A black male, 20 was arrested.
• Criminal Mischief at the 1700 block of Green Valley Road on Aug. 3 at 11:52 a.m. – Vehicle window was broken.
• Fraud at U-haul, unit block of E. Township Line Road, on Aug. 4 at 11:05 a.m. – Victim reported that an unauthorized purchase was made with his debit card.
• Criminal Mischief at the 700 block of Biddle Street on Aug. 4 at 2:28 p.m. – Graffiti was reported.
• Theft at the 100 block of E. Park Road on Aug. 6 at 1:59 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, four Septa tokens were stolen.
• Theft at the 100 block of E. Park Road on Aug. 6 at 5:29 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, iPhone charger, valet key and loose change was stolen.
• Attempted Theft at the unit block of E. Park Road on Aug. 6 at 6:48 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, nothing was reported missing.
• Bicycle Theft at the 1100 block of Larchmont Avenue on Aug. 6 at 4:51 p.m.
• Liquor Law Violation at the 500 block of Strathmore Road on Aug. 6 at 11:37 p.m. – A white male, 19, 500 block of Strathmore Road; a white male, 18, 300 block of Edgehill Drive; a white male, 18, 600 block of Hirst Avenue; a white male, 19, 500 block of Cumberland Road; a white female, 19, 200 block of Strathmore Road; a white female, 18, 1300 block of Maryland Avenue; a white female, 18, unit block of Clearfield Road; a white male, 19, 200 block of Farnham Road; a white male, 19, 1000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue; a white male, 18, 100 block of Shelbourne Road; a white female, 19, 2400 block of Chestnut Avenue; a white male, 19, 2400 block of Bryn Mawr Avenue; a white male, 18, 2900 block of Rising Sun Road; a white female, 19, 500 block of Achille Road; a white female, 18, 800 block of Walnut Place; a white female, 19, unit block of Woodbine Road; a white female, 17, a white male, 17; and asian male, 17 were cited for underage drinking.
• Attempted Burglary at the 200 block of Shawnee Road on Aug. 7 at 8:48 p.m. – An unknown actor attempted to gain entry into the residence by breaking a pane of glass on the rear door.
• Identity Theft at the 200 block of Glendale Road on Aug. 7 at 6:19 p.m. – Victim reported multiple unauthorized purchases were made with her debit card. Someone also attempted to withdraw a large amount of money from her account.
• Public Drunkenness at Ardmore Avenue and Darby Road on Aug. 7 at 5:45 a.m. – A white male, 46, 400 block of Jackson Street, Philadelphia was cited for public drunkenness.
• Public Drunkenness at Darby and Eagle Roads on Aug. 7 at 6:08 p.m. - a black male, 30, 1000 block of 53rd Street, Philadelphia was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
