Haverford Police Blotter: 7 Thefts From Vehicles In 1 Week

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – The most recent Haverford Police Blotter has been released and it documents crimes in the township that occurred between July 18 and July 24.

Notably, police are reporting seven thefts from vehicles in the township, four identity theft and fraud cases, and more.

The report also includes arrests made and citations issued in that time frame.

INCIDENTS:

• Fraud on the 300 block of Bryan Street on July 18 at 12:34 p.m. – Unknown person cashed a check from the victim’s personal bank account. The victim’s account was frozen, no money taken.
• Identity Theft on the 2500 block of Chestnut Avenue on July 18 at 5:09 p.m. – Unknown person attempted to open a credit card in her name.
• Theft from Vehicle on the unit block of Llandillo Road on July 19 at 9:19 a.m. – Victim reports that an unknown person rummaged through her unlocked vehicle, nothing was taken.
• Bicycle Theft on the 1300 block of Darby Road on July 20 3:14 p.m.
• Theft on the 400 block of Pembroke Avenue on July 20 at 5:12 p.m. – Victim reports that an unknown person took suitcases and beach chairs which were placed outside of her vehicle.
• Theft from Vehicle on the 100 block of Park Road on July 20 at 8:49 p.m. – Victim reports that an unknown person stole loose change out of her unlocked vehicle.
• Identity Theft on the 2100 block of Oakmont Avenue on July 20 at 3:02 p.m. – Victim reports that an unknown person purchased an iPhone in his name, investigation is ongoing.
• Identity Theft on the 300 block of Fairlamb Avenue on July 20 at 4:38 p.m. – Victim reports that an unknown person is attached to his date of birth and social security number. Investigation is ongoing.
• Criminal Mischief on the 600 block of Ardmore Avenue (Elwell Field) on July 20 at 4:24 p.m. – An unknown person spray painted numerous areas of the park.
• Vandalism on the 500 block of Washington Avenue on July 20 at 5:07 p.m. – An unknown is placing violation on the victim’s vehicle.
• Narcotics on the 500 block of West Township Line Road on July 20 at 11:08 p.m. – While conducting a vehicle stop at the above location, a black male, 27, of the 1200 block of Alexander Avenue, Drexel Hill was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, use / possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI.
• Theft on the 300 block of West Chester Pike on July 21 at 5:15 p.m. – Catering items were taken from the above location.
• Fraud on the 1400 block of Sunny Hill Lane on July 21 at 2:40 p.m. – Victim states that an unknown person made fraudulent purchases using his credit card.
• Public Drunkenness on the 900 block of Haverford Road on July 21 at 10:04 p.m. – A white male, 38, 900 block of Lincoln Drive, Voorhees was cited.
• Theft from Vehicle on the unit block of West Hillcrest Avenue on July 22 at 8:29 a.m. – Unknown person entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and took his credit card.
• Theft from Vehicle on the unit block of West Hillcrest Avenue on July 22 at 8:45 a.m. – Unknown person entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and took loose change.
• Identity Theft on the 2900 block of Belmont Avenue on July 22 at 2:20 p.m. – An unknown person made fraudulent charges on her credit card.
• Vandalism on the 2400 block of Belmont Avenue on July 22 at 5:17 p.m. – Victim reports that a known actor keyed his vehicle when he did not open the door.
• Public Drunkenness on the 200 block of Brookline Boulevard on July 22 at 2:07 a.m. – A white male, 22, 1600 block of Surrey Lane, Havertown was cited.
• Theft from Vehicle on the 100 block of Tenby Road on July 23 at 9:20 a.m. – Numerous items were taken from the victim’s unlocked vehicle.
• Retail Theft on the 100 block of W. Township Line Road on July 23 at 6:38 p.m. – an unknown actor stole $120 worth of merchandise. Investigation is ongoing.
• Narcotics on the 300 block of Ellis Road on July 23 at 1:05 a.m. – A vehicle stop was conducted at the above location. A white male, 27, 1500 block of Delaware Avenue, Wilmington was arrested and charged with DUI, possession of small amount of marijuana, use / possession of drug paraphernalia and false ID to law enforcement.
• Theft from Vehicle on the 200 block of East Hathaway Lane on July 24 at 3:45 p.m. – Numerous items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
• Theft from Vehicle on the unit block of West Hillcrest Avenue on July 24 at 1:59 p.m. – Loose change was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

• A black male, 15. Charges: Retail Theft. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block West Chester Pike. Date: July 13 3:50 p.m.
• A black male, 14. Charges: Retail Theft. Location: Kohl’s, 200 block West Chester Pike. Date: July 13 at 3:50 p.m.
• A white male, 23, 1300 block of Steel Road, Havertown. Charges: DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia, no registration and insurance. Location: Brierwood and North Brierwood Roads. Date: July 18 at 11:53 a.m.
• A black male, 22, 7200 block of Sommers Road, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, suspended drivers license and no registration. Location: West Chester Pike and Manoa Road. Date: July 19 11:40 p.m.
• A black male, 27, 1200 block of Alexander Avenue, Drexel Hill. Charges: Possession of Marijuana, Use / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and DUI. Location: 500 block of West Township Line Road. Date: July 20 11:08 p.m.
• A white male, 42, 4900 block of Lancaster Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: DUI. Location: East Darby and East Mercer Roads. Date: July 22 at 3:34 a.m.
• A white male, 27, 1500 block of Delaware Avenue, Wilmington. Charges: DUI, Possession of Small Amount of Marijuana, Use / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and False ID to Law Enforcement. Location: 300 Ellis Road. Date: July 23 at 1:05 a.m.
• A black male, 49, 1700 block of North Redfield Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property and Driving while suspended. Location: West Chester Pike and Glen Gary Road. Date: July 21 12:53 p.m.
