Haverford Police Blotter: Stolen Cars, Public Drunkenness, Thefts

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – Haverford Township Police issued their weekly crime blotter on Wednesday, highlighting crime incidents int he township that occurred between Aug. 22 and Aug. 28.

Notably, police report two vehicle thefts, public drunkenness, various theft cases, vandalism, and more.

The blotter also includes arrests made and citations issued in that time frame.

INCIDENTS:

• Bicycle Theft at the 300 block of Oxford Road on Aug. 22 at 5:25 p.m.Bicycle Theft at the 300 block of Farwood Road on Aug. 23 at 11:33 a.m.
• Identity Theft at the 200 block of Brentwood Road on Aug. 23 at 2:49 p.m. –Victim reported that someone attempted to use her identity to open a credit card account.
• Theft at the 200 block of Clamar Avenue on Aug. 24 at 12:16 a.m. – Forced entry was gained into the shed. A generator and bicycle was stolen.
• Attempted Theft at the 2800 block of Belmont Avenue on Aug. 24 at 3:55 hours –An unknown person attempted to fraudulently cash two checks.
• Motor Vehicle Theft at the 100 block of Signal Road on Aug. 24 at 6:48 a.m.Liquor Law Violation at West Chester Pike and Glen Gary Drive on Aug. 24 at 2:39 p.m. – White male, 20, 400 block of Darby Road was cited for underage drinking.
• Public Drunkenness at the 600 block of Country Club Lane on Aug. 25 at 7:54a.m. – White female, 55, 500 block of Country Club Lane was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.Theft at the 1000 block of Bon Air Road on Aug. 27 at 8:57 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, loose change and a wallet containing credit cards and gift cards was stolen.
• Bicycle Theft at the 1000 block of Bon Air Terrace on Aug. 27 at 5:12 p.m.Theft at the 100 block of Wyndmoor Road on Aug. 27 at 6:35 a.m. – Two vehicles were entered, loose change was stolen.
• Theft at the 300 block of Stanley Avenue on Aug. 27 at 10:08 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, $5 was stolen.
• Theft at the 1000 block of Bon Air Road on Aug. 27 at 8:40 p.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, loose change was stolen.
• Attempted Theft at the 300 block of Bryan Street on Aug. 27 at 7:31 a.m. –Unlocked vehicle was entered, nothing was reported missing.
• Motor Vehicle Theft at the 100 block of Friendship Road on Aug. 27 at 11:45 a.m.
• Vandalism at the 1000 block of Garfield Avenue on Aug. 27 at 11:11 a.m. – Astrand of party lights was pulled off of the garage.
• Public Drunkenness at the 1300 block of West Chester Pike on Aug. 27 at 6:30 p.m. – White female, 30, 300 block of Francis Drive was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
• Disorderly Conduct at Wawa (unit block of E. Eagle Road) on Aug. 27 at 10:34a.m. – White male, 56, 3500 block of Darby Road was cited for disorderly conduct.

ARRESTS:

• Black male, 23, 1400 block of N. Wilton Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Retail theft and resisting arrest. Location: Kohl’s (200 block of West Chester Pike). Date: Aug. 24 at 2:06 p.m.
• White male, 44, unit block of W. Wilmot Avenue, Havertown. Charges: Strangulation, simple assault, public drunkenness and harassment. Location: unit block of W. Wilmot Avenue. Date: Aug. 24 at 7:56 p.m.
• White male, 53, 700 block of Buck Lane, Haverford. Charges: Accidents involving damage to attended vehicle, careless driving, failure to stop and render aid and failure to report accident. Location: Preston Avenue and Haverford Road. Date: Aug. 26 at 12:55 p.m.
• White male, 23, 500 block of Kelly Avenue, Woodlyn. Charges: Public drunkenness, disorderly conduct, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Barnaby’s (1900 block of Old West Chester Pike). Date: Aug. 26 at 2:30 a.m.
• White female, 21, 6500 block of Lebanon Avenue, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of marijuana and Drug paraphernalia. Location: 1100 block of West Chester Pike. Date: Aug. 26 at 12:07 a.m.
• White male, 34, 400 block of Fitzgerald Street, Philadelphia. Charges: Possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Giant (100 block of W. Township Line Road). Date: Aug. 27 at 3:03 a.m.
• White female, 28, 100 block of Normandy Road, Upper Darby. Charges: Retail theft, receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance. Location: Giant (100 block of W. Township Line Road). Date: Aug. 27 at 12:53 p.m.
• White male, 64, 2200 block of West Chester Pike, Broomall. Charges: Theft by deception, receiving stolen property and received advance payment for services and fails to perform home improvement services Location: 600 block of Woodland Avenue. Date: Aug. 29 at 7:50 a.m.
• White male, 17 was petitioned to juvenile court. Charges: Underage drinking, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Location: Colfax Road and Merrybrook Drive. Date: Aug. 24 at 6:57 p.m.
