HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – Haverford Township Police issued their weekly crime report, which covers incidents that occurred between March 7 and March 13 in the township.

Notable incidents include theft of $20,000 from a lockbox, a woman failing to pay for a cab ride, a stolen wallet at a bar, vehicles being keyed, and more.

The report also includes arrests made and citations issued in that time frame.

INCIDENTS:

  • Theft on the 100 block of Earlington Road on March 7 at 5:19 p.m. – Victim reported that $20,000 worth of jewelry was stolen from a lockbox in the bedroom.
  • Theft at the BP Station, 1200 block of West Chester Pike, on March 8 at 1:06 p.m. – A white male stole $250 from the cash register. Police stopped a male fitting the description and he confessed to the theft. The male, 24, was arrested.
  • Vandalism on the 300 block of Farwood Road on March 8 at 9:21 a.m. – Vehicle was keyed.
  • Vandalism on the 900 block of Carroll Road on March 8 at 7:27 p.m. – Vehicle was keyed.
  • Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on March 9 at 6:25 p.m. – A black male stole $818 worth of merchandise and fled the store.
  • Liquor Law Violation on the 3200 block of Darby Road on March 9 at 11:03 p.m. – A white female, 16 was cited for underage drinking.
  • Theft on the 200 block of N. Lexington Avenue on March 10 at 8:50 p.m. – Victim reported two tickets to the Flower Show were stolen from his mailbox.
  • Liquor Law Violation on the 1400 block of Fairview Avenue on March 10 at 10:30 p.m. – A white male, 16, was cited for underage drinking.
  • Theft at JD McGillicuddy’s, unit block of Brookline Boulevard, on March 11 at 12:07 a.m. – Victim reported that her wallet containing debit card, checkbook, social security cards and $30 was stolen while she left it unattended on the bench.
  • Theft of Services on the 600 block of Septa Line on March 11 at 11:01 p.m. – A black female failed to pay her $20 cab fare.
  • Public Drunkenness at Manoa Shopping Center, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on March 11 at 3:49 a.m. - A white male, 22, 600 block of Grand Avenue was cited for public drunkenness.
  • Public Drunkenness on the 2100 block of Darby Creek Road on March 11 at 4:50 a.m. – A white male, 25, 600 block of Loraine Avenue was cited for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.

ARRESTS:

  • A white male, 49, 2200 block of Harwood Avenue, Upper Darby. Charges: Retail theft, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: March 8 at 5:25 p.m.
  • A white male, 24, 1200 block of Bryan Street, Drexel Hill. Charges: Theft by unlawful taking, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. Location: BP Gas Station, 1200 block of West Chester Pike. Date: March 8 at 1:06 p.m.
  • A black male, 21, unit block of S. Pennock Avenue, Upper Darby. Charges: Accidents involving damage to attended vehicle, failure to stop and render aid and unregistered vehicle. Location: 2100 block of Darby Road. Date: March 11 at 7:09 a.m.
  • A white male, 21, 500 block of Doe Run Road, Coatesville. Charges: DUI. Location: unit block of Kathmere Road. Date: March 11 at 3:55 a.m.
