Haverford Police Handle 32 Incidents In Just 8 Days: Blotter

From May 8 to May 16, Haverford Police had their hands full with 32 incidents of burglary, thefts, fraud, stolen vehicles, and much more.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – From May 8 to May 16, Haverford Township police were extremely busy handling more than 30 crime incidents in that time frame, according to the department's latest police blotter

In that eight-day period, police responded to 32 separate incidents.

There were three burglaries, two stolen vehicles, nine fraud cases, 13 thefts (including retail and identity thefts), two disorderly conducts, and more.

INCIDENTS:

  • Burglary on the 300 block of Kathmere Road on May 8 at 3:34 a.m. – Entry was gained through an unsecured door. A debit card and $15 was stolen from a purse.
  • Theft at Paddock Park, 200 block of Hillcrest Avenue, on May 8 at 10:50 a.m. – Victim reported that her wallet was stolen while she left it unattended on the bench.
  • Theft at Napoli Music and Dance, 600 block of Pont Reading Road, on May 10 at 10:55 a.m. – Victim reported three guitars missing from a locked closet.
  • Theft at Bill Shoe Service, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on May 10 at 1:01 a.m. – A black male stole $117.69 from the cash register.
  • Theft at Direct Paint and Collision, 1000 block of N. Eagle Road, on May 10 at 7:20 a.m. – Forced entry was gained into a storage shed and 15 gallons of gasoline was stolen.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at U-Haul, unit block of E. Township Line Road, on May 10 at 6:53 a.m.
  • Identity Theft on the 1300 block of Dermond Road on May 10 at 3:16 p.m. – Victim reported that someone opened a Comcast account using his identity without his permission or knowledge.
  • Criminal Mischief at Direct Paint and Collision, 1000 block of N. Eagle Road, on May 10 at 8:59 a.m. – An unknown actor broke a rear windshield of a vehicle parked in their parking lot.
  • Fraud on the 800 block of Aubrey Avenue on May 11 at 11:05 a.m. – The victim’s daughter reported that a person known to her cashed her father’s pension check without his permission or knowledge.
  • Fraud on the 2500 block of Huntingdon Lane on May 11 at 1:40 p.m. – Victim reported that his phone was spoofed and is being used to harass other callers.
  • Fraud on the 1600 block of Mount Pleasant Road on May 11 at 1:47 p.m. – Victim reported that multiple unauthorized purchases were made with her credit card
  • Fraud on the 200 block of East Manoa Road on May 11 at 7:29 p.m. – Multiple unauthorized purchases were made with the victim’s credit card.
  • Identity Theft on the 100 block of Stockton Road on May 11 at 7:55 a.m. – An unknown actor used the victim’s identity to purchase three iPhones with his Verizon account.
  • Disorderly Conduct on the 1900 block of Old West Chester Pike on May 11 at 11:22 p.m. – A while male, 20, unit block of Bishop Hollow Road, Broomall was cited for disorderly conduct.
  • Theft on the 1600 block of Surrey Lane on May 13 at 3:53 p.m. – Two vehicles were entered - $20 and loose change was stolen.
  • Motor Vehicle Theft at U-Haul, unit block of E. Township Line Road, on May 13 at 10:30 a.m.
  • Public Drunkenness on the 600 block of N. Eagle Road on May 13 at 2:12 a.m. - A while male, 37, 700 block of Chester Avenue was cited for public drunkenness.
  • Burglary on the 2300 block of Belvedere Avenue on May 14 at 5:39 p.m. – Entry was gained through a kitchen window. Amazon Alexa was stolen from the kitchen.
  • Theft at Dougherty Landscaping, 1300 block of Lawrence Road, on May 14 at 7:15 a.m. – Fourteen gallons of gasoline was stolen from a secured shed.
  • Theft on the 400 block of Rittenhouse Circle on May 14 at 6:36 p.m. – Victim reported that a check was stolen from his residence by a person known to him. The check was made payable for $445 and the signature was forged.
  • Retail Theft at Rite Aid, 1300 block of West Chester Pike, on May 14 at 6:17 p.m. – Store manager reported that a white male attempted to steal numerous electronic items.
  • Theft on the 1400 block of Lawrence Road on May 14 at 11:52 a.m. – Victim reported that a person known to her stole her credit card and purchased $164.95 worth of items.
  • Fraud on the unit block of James Drive on May 14 at 10:12 a.m. – A wallet containing $600, credit cards, identification and insurance cards was stolen from the victim's purse. An unauthorized purchase was made at the Apple Store.
  • Criminal Mischief at Broomall Pediatric Dentist, 1200 block of West Chester Pike, on May 14 at 5:12 p.m. – Office window was shattered.
  • Theft at Bellemead and Marthart Avenues on May 15 at 3:56 p.m. – iPhone was stolen from an unsecured vehicle.
  • Fraud on the 1400 block of Leedom Road on May 15 at 12:45 p.m. – Victim reported that a check was fraudulently cashed.
  • Burglary on the 2300 block of Belvedere Avenue on May 16 at 12:16 p.m. – A juvenile male entered an unlocked garage and stole a go cart. He admitted to entering the residence previously and stealing an Amazon Alexa.
  • Theft at the YMCA, 800 block of N. Eagle Road, on May 16 at 11:09 a.m. – iphone was stolen from a locker.
  • Fraud on the 2000 block of Old West Chester Pike on May 16 at 3:57 p.m. – Victim reported that someone attempted to electronically withdraw $500,000 from his account.
  • Fraud on the 500 block of Washington Avenue on May 16 at 12:22 p.m. – Approximately $8,000.00 was withdrawn from the victim’s checking account without her permission or knowledge.
  • Fraud on the 1300 block of E. Darby Road on May 16 at 6:37 p.m. – Multiple unauthorized purchases were made with the victim’s credit card.
  • Disorderly Conduct on the 1800 block of Rose Tree Road on May 16 at 7:54 p.m. – A black female, 29, 1800 block of Westmoreland Street, Philadelphia was cited for disorderly conduct.

ARRESTS:

  • A while male, 28, 100 block of Blue Ridge Drive, Levittown. Charges: Theft by deception and retail theft. Location: Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: May 14 at 1 p.m. (incident occurred on Jan. 22).
  • A while male, 39, 400 block of Glendale Road, Havertown. Charges: DUI, careless driving and accidents involving damage to property. Location: 300 block of Glendale Road. Date: May 15 at 12:59 p.m.
