Haverford SWAT Team Places 3rd In County Competition

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – At the close of Delaware County's Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team challenged Thursday, a winner was crowned, but sadly it was not the team from Haverford.

When all was said and done – after the pistol, rifle and sniper shooting challenges, obstacle course, and officer down scenarios – the Central Delco team was crowed the winner out of the six teams.

Haverford SWAT finished third.

Second place went to Upper Darby SWAT.

The challenges taken on by the teams Thursday not only tested the teams' performances, but also increased their performances in a controlled environment, the county said.

Well done, Haverford SWAT!
