Resident Rescued From Delco House Fire Early Thursday Morning
A house fire broke out early Thursday in Darby and emergency responders rescued one person from inside the burning home.

A resident of a Darby Borough home that was engulfed in flames early Thursday morning had to be rescued by emergency crews.
The fire broke out at about 2:15 a.m. Thursday on the 100 block of Fern Street in Darby, according to the Darby Fire Company.
A resident was rescued by firefighters and Darby Borough Police, the fire company said.

Crews began battling the blaze, which later spread to two separate buildings, the fire company said.
The roof was under threat of caving in, which led firefighters to flee the building before resuming their efforts to extinguish the blaze, according to Action News.

One family was displaced by the fire and is receiving help from the Red Cross.
