Thefts, Counterfeit Money, Vandalism: Haverford Police Report

Police said seven vehicles in the same area had items stolen from them in one day. See full details of the new police blotter here.

HAVERFORD TOWNSHIP, PA – Police in Haverford Township issued their weekly crime report on Wednesday.

The new report covers incidents and arrests that occurred between June 12 and June 19.

Notable incidents include seven vehicles in the same small area of the township were broken into and had items stolen on June 14; a Haverford Middle School student using a counterfeit $5 bill; and five teens busted for underage drinking.

  • Burglary at Swiss Farms, 1200 block of W. Township Line Road, on June 13 at 2:08 a.m. – Forced entry was gained through the glass sliding door. A loaf of bread was reported stolen. Investigation is ongoing.
  • Theft at the Haverford Dog Park, 9000 block of Parkview Drive, on June 13 at 5:54 p.m. – Vehicle window was shattered, a purse was stolen.
  • Theft on the 500 block of Washington Avenue on June 14 at 7:59 a.m. – Two unlocked vehicles were entered; iPhone, prescription medication, car keys, driver’s license, credit cards, checks, gifts cards and loose change were stolen.
  • Theft on the 300 block of Virginia Avenue on June 14 at 9:43 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, a purse containing $30, checks, credit cards and a driver’s license was stolen.
  • Theft at the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue on June 14 at 7:29 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, $120 was stolen.
  • Theft on the 300 block of Virginia Avenue on June 14 at 9:46 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, $165, credit cards, driver’s license and tools were stolen.
  • Theft on the 300 block of Virginia Avenue on June 14 at 10:12 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, $25 was stolen.
  • Theft on the 400 block of Lincoln Avenue on June 14 at 6:08 p.m. – Vehicle was entered, a watch was stolen.
  • Counterfeiting at the Haverford Middle School, 1700 block of Darby Road, on June 14 at 12:44 p.m. – A juvenile male passed a counterfeit $5 bill in the cafeteria.
  • Vandalism on the unit block of Vernon Road on June 14 at 8:33 p.m. – Decorative lights were cut.
  • Theft on the unit block of Princeton Road on June 15 at 9:30 a.m. – Unlocked vehicle was entered, loose change and Bose ear buds were stolen.
  • Public Drunkenness on the 900 block of West Chester Pike on June 15 at 7:05 p.m. – A white female, 29 and a white female, 57, 100 block of Fairview Road, Upper Darby were cited for public drunkenness.
  • Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on June 17 at 2:08 p.m. – Victim reported that her purse was removed from her shopping cart. The purse contained $5, driver’s license, various credit cards and a cell phone.
  • Criminal Mischief on the 1000 block of Roosevelt Avenue on June 17 at 7:51 p.m. – A rock was thrown at a vehicle causing a dent.
  • Retail Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on June 18 at 12:47 p.m. – Two white male stole over $3,000 worth of merchandise and fled the store.
  • Retail Theft at CVS, 1100 block of West Chester Pike, on June 18 at 2:16 p.m. – A black male stole an undetermined amount of merchandise and fled the store.
  • Attempted Bicycle Theft on the unit block of E. Manoa Road on June 18 at 7:11 a.m.
  • Identity Theft on the 1600 block of Surrey Lane on June 18 at 11:41 a.m. – Victim reported that an unknown person used his identity and charged over $19,000 on his credit card.
  • Identity Theft on the 300 block of Valley Road on June 18 at 6:42 p.m. – Victim reported that someone used her identity to open a cell phone account.
  • Vandalism on the 2400 block of Olcott Avenue on June 18 at 7:51 a.m. – Residence was egged.
  • Vandalism at Tri State Data Recovery, 1600 block of Darby Road, on June 18 at 3:55 p.m. – A juvenile male intentionally broke a window pane in front of the business with the handle bar of his bicycle.
  • Theft at Lowe’s, 100 block of W. Township Line Road, on June 19 at 4:53 p.m. – Video surveillance captured a black male place a chandelier in his shopping cart and proceed to customer service and made a return. The suspect received a store credit for $316.94.
  • Theft on the 100 block of Harvard Road on June 19 at 9:47 p.m. – Phone charger and headphones were stolen from a detached garage.
  • Identity Theft on the unit block of Fairfield Road on June 19 at 6:55 a.m. – Numerous unauthorized purchases were made with the victim’s debit card.
  • Criminal Mischief on the unit block of Vernon Road on June 19 at 5:49 p.m. – Vehicle was keyed.
  • Criminal Mischief on the unit block of Vernon Road on June 19 at 5:39 p.m. – Outdoor decorative lights were cut.
  • Liquor Law Violation at East Township Line Road and Park Road on June 19 at 11:57 a.m. – A white male, 17, a white female, 16 and three white females, 17, were cited for underage drinking.

  • White male, 43, 700 block of Fairfax Avenue, Drexel Hill. Charges: Contempt for violation of order. Location: Haverford Middle School, 1700 block of Darby Road. Date: June 12 at 5:10 p.m.
  • Black male, 21, 400 block of West 21st Street, Chester. Charges: possession of drug paraphernalia. Location: 2400 block of Saint Denis Lane. Date: June 14 at 8:32 p.m.
  • Black male, 20, 300 block of Margate Road, Upper Darby. Charges: possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding and suspended driver’s license. Location: 2400 block of Saint Denis Lane. Date: June 14 at 8:32 p.m.
  • Black male, 46, 2000 block of South Aldan Street, Philadelphia. Charges: retail theft and false identification to law enforcement. Location: Giant, 100 block of W. Township Line Road. Date: June 16 at 1:15 p.m.
  • White female, 36, 2600 block of Darby Road, Havertown. Charges: warrant. Location: 2600 block of Darby Road. Date: June 17 at 12:55 p.m.
  • White male, 19, 100 block of Myrtle Avenue, Havertown. Charges: Aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, disorderly conduct, terroristic threats and possession of instrument of crime. Location: West Township Line Road and Edmonds Avenue. Date: June 19 at 3:33 p.m.
