Township Line Road Work Affecting Traffic Thursday, Friday
The work is part of a project to improve travel and safety on Township Line Road in Haverford and Upper Darby.

HAVERFORD, PA – Township Line Road traffic will be affected by work related to a travel and safety improvement project in Haverford and Upper Darby townships starting Thursday, July 6.
According to PennDOT, the road will see lane restrictions between State and Harding roads for road milling.
The restrictions will be in place from 7 p.m. Thursday, July 6 to 5 a.m. Friday, July 7, and again from 7 p.m. Friday, July 7 to 5 a.m. Saturday, July 8.

The project – which entails reconfiguring lanes, resurfacing roads, installing radar speed signs, and more on a 3.4 mile stretch of the road – is expected to by complete by August.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled work is weather dependent.

"This project specifically addresses the need to improve safety on a busy stretch of U.S. 1 in Delaware County,” Governor Tom Wolf said. "The traffic calming measures implemented along this corridor will help save lives by reducing speeds and crashes.”
