CSI Comes to Hatboro Area YMCA

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s office will visit the to teach teens about forensics, and other aspects of crime scene investigations as part of the Y’s Y Achievers program. 

The participation on Nov. 2 will be one of two workshops held by the Montgomery County District Attorney's office.  The second session, to be held on Nov. 16, will focus on computer forensics and Internet safety. 

The Y Achievers program is an initiative of the Philadelphia & Vicinity YMCAs which is a developmentally based, extracurricular, academic achievement and team mentoring program. Designed to help fifth – 12th-grade youth prepare for and enact impactful, fulfilled livelihoods in college and beyond, the program’s goals are to encourage youth to set and achieve high educational, personal and professional goals, to help youth create positive mentoring relationships with adults who have achieved personal and professional success, and to create channels for continuing community investment and involvement by business and industry.

Participation in the program is free for youth, and each participant is given a complimentary, one-year, full privilege membership in the Philadelphia & Vicinity YMCA – which includes the Hatboro branch.
