Horsham Reportedly Takes Aqua Well Offline
Horsham has decided to take their Aqua PA well offline due to the presence of chemical contaminants, according to a report.
Horsham Township has taken its Aqua PA well offline after passing a new regulation which prohibits any township drinking water to contain even trace amounts of contaminants, according to a report.
The town's council voted on Monday that water with even 1 part per trillion (ppt) of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) cannot be used, the Bucks County Courier Times reports.
Aqua PA's well in Horsham has 12 ppt of the chemicals, the report states.

1 ppt is such a low number that it is reportedly undetectable, according to the report. Aqua has repeatedly said that their water is safe to drink.
The EPA's health advisory limit is 70 ppt.

Nearby Hatboro, which has not been affected by the water contamination in Warminster and Horsham, also has their water supply regulated by Aqua.
Hatboro told residents on Friday that the borough's water supply is safe.
