HVAC Issues Resurface At Loller Academy
Hatboro Borough Council may hold its meeting on Monday at Pennypack due to heating issues with the Loller Academy's new HVAC system.

HATBORO, PA —Since mid-July, most borough meetings have taken place at the Loller Academy after Borough Hall was closed for over a year for the installation of a new HVAC system.
While a few HVAC issues popped up at the beginning when borough staff returned to the South York Road landmark, the system has held up mostly for seven months —until late last week.
Borough officials said they are experiencing heating issues in the Council Room of the Loller Academy Building at 414 S. York Rd.

Public Works Staff have been working to identify a cause and correct the problem; however, as of Friday afternoon, the heat is still not functioning in the Council Room.
As an abundance of caution, the Borough Council meeting on Monday is being relocated to the Pennypack Facility at 130 Spring Ave.

Borough officials said signs will be posted at Loller Academy indicating the location change and a staff member will be present at this facility to direct residents to Pennypack.
Due to the emergency, Borough Council will not call the meeting to order immediately at 7 p.m. to give residents adequate time to attend the meeting.
Borough officials said that if the heating issue is resolved before Monday night, the meeting will move back to Loller.
"As many are aware, the new HVAC system within the Loller Academy building is somewhat complex and borough staff continue to learn the system's intricacies as time progresses," borough officials said. "We thank residents for their understanding while we work to resolve the issues taking place and restore heat to the Council Room."
The borough government needed a new headquarters and thus purchased the Pennypack property from the Hatboro-Horsham School District for $600,000 while the new HVAC system was installed at Loller.
After 22 months, borough meetings began at Loller again and the borough government eventually moved its offices back to Loller.
