Lacrosse: Boys Advance to Third Round
Hatboro-Horsham defeated Penncrest 4-3 on Thursday night.

The Hatboro-Horsham boys lacrosse team advanced to the quarterfinals of the District 1 tournament, after defeating Penncrest 4-3 on Thursday night. Jake Durkin led the Hatters offensively and Trevor Downing and Jimmy Murphy each contributed. The Hatters dominated defensively thanks to a terrific effort by Dom DeFazio, Tyler Gehlhaus, Jake Cresta, and Ryan New. Marc Poust was outstanding in goal recording 13 saves, including some key stops in the fourth quarter. Steve Palo put forth a terrific effort on face-offs, winning seven of 11. DeFazio led the Hatters with 11 ground balls. The Hatters are back in action Saturday versus No. 20 Great Valley in the quarterfinals at Harriton High School. The game time has not yet been set.
