$10K Raised As Upper Gwynedd Responders Lose Everything In Fire
When Montco first responders Daniel and Michelle Infusino responded to a recent call, they didn't expect it to be for their own home.
UPPER GWYNEDD, PA — When Montgomery County first responders Daniel and Michelle Infusino responded to a recent call for an apartment fire, they didn't expect it to be for their own home.
But as the recently married couple — two of the more active members of the Upper Gwynedd Township Fire Department — arrived on their block that day on July 11, that's exactly the reality they were confronted with.
Although firefighters were able to contain the apartment fire, nearly everything inside the Infusino's unit was destroyed. That included practical items and numerous sentimental belongings. Their two pet bunnies, Hershey and Kisses, were killed.

But there is light at the end of the tunnel. Now, the local community is rallying behind the pair of local public servants in an effort to get them back on their feet. A GoFundMe campaign has already raised more than $10,500 from 123 donors, as of Thursday morning.
"All they want to do on their worst day is go home, but unfortunately will not be able to do that for a while now," Michelle's sister Cindy To wrote in the fundraiser. "It would be greatly appreciated if you could donate any amount to help them get their life back together."

And more good news: the couple's dog, Apollo, who was suffered burns in the fire and had to be treated at an emergency veterinarian hospital, is back with them and recovering.
