23 North Penn High School Students Named National Merit Semifinalists
Out of the 1.5 million students who took the PSAT qualifying exam, just 16,000 are named semi-finalists.

The following 23 North Penn High School students were named as semifinalists in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Competition, the district announced Thursday:

- Ellen Shi
- Radhika Sinha
- Tara Sorman
- Alonso Trejo-Mora
- Ryan Tung
- Alina Yu
- Hankun Zhao
Out of the 1.5 million students who took the PSAT qualifying exam, just 16,000 are named semi-finalists, according to data from the North Penn School District.
“These academically talented high school seniors will now have an opportunity to continue in the competition for more than 7,600 available National Merit Scholarships worth more than $33 million,” the district announced.
