Alcohol Sales Approved at Plymouth Meeting Movie Theater

Would you drive a little further to the movies if it meant you could drink a beer while enjoying the flick?

Plymouth Township Council has approved AMC 12’s request to sell alcohol at its theater at the Plymouth Meeting Mall, according to The Reporter. Beer, wine and mixed drinks will be sold at MacGuffins Bar and Lounge in the theater.

According to AMC’s website, MacGuffins Bar and Lounges are already located in dozens of theaters nationwide, including three in New Jersey.

AMC is purchasing the liquor license from Fasageos 2 Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria of Franconia, the Reporter said.

The timeline for when liquor sales will officially begin was not provided.
