Crossing Guard Added at General Nash Elementary School
Parents raised their concerns during a school board meeting this week and the issue was quickly resolved by township and school officials.
A crossing guard has been added at General Nash Elementary School for the 2014-2015 school year, officials from North Penn School District and Towamencin Township announced Thursday.
The placement is due to the temporary traffic problems created by the closing of the Bustard Road bridge.
“This issue was solved quickly thanks to the collaboration and cooperation of the township, the NPSD Board of School Directors and parents who brought this issue forward during the August 12 school board meeting,” the district said in a statement.
