Driver Rescued After Dump Truck Crash In Towamencin
Breaking: One man was rescued by emergency crews following a major accident involving a dump truck Friday morning.
TOWAMENCIN, PA — One man was rescued by emergency crews following a major accident involving a dump truck Friday morning in Towamencin.
The incident occurred at around 9:15 a.m. on Wambold Road near the intersection with Sumneytown Pike, authorities said.
A large blue dump truck appeared to collide with a sedan, photos from the scene show. The dump truck was off the road and pulled into some bushes, while the sedan was flipped over beside it deeper into the forest.

The driver of the sedan was pinned, but rescued and taken by Lansdale VMSC to a nearby trauma center, police said. The condition of the driver is not known.
The road is blocked by debris from the accident. The dump truck is still loaded. Crews on the scene are working to clear the road and unload the truck, and expect it to be an "extended operation."
