DUI Checkpoints, Roving Patrols Set Up Around North Penn Area

Police said they're targeting roads where drunk driving accidents have occurred in the past.

HATFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — Authorities will set up drunk driving enforcement checkpoints around the greater Hatfield and Lansdale areas this week, they announced.

The checkpoint and patrols will be in place all week through Halloween evening, which is Thursday, Oct. 31.

State Routes 63, 463, 113, and 309 are all included in the patrol and checkpoint area.

The North Penn DUI Task Force will specifically target areas where alcohol has been a factor in crashes in the past.

Officers will also be enforcing aggressive driving, unlicensed or suspended driver's licenses, and other traffic violations.
