Eighth Street To Shut Down In Lansdale
A massive infrastructure project will get underway in Lansdale this week.
LANSDALE, PA — A massive infrastructure project will get underway in Lansdale this week.
Eighth Street will be shut down from Squirrel Lane to Moyers Road starting Wednesday, May 24.
The North Penn Water Authority is leading the project, which will involve "heavy and large" equipment and will be focused along and under the railroad tracks.

The roadway will not reopen during the evening hours and will be shut down for the entire length of the project. Officials estimate that the closure will not last longer than two weeks.
"We know that this construction will be disruptive, yet the end result will be worthwhile," the borough said in a statement. "We appreciate your patience as we work with other organizations to provide improvements to our roadways and the Borough's infrastructure."
