As part of the ongoing exhibition "Access-Ability: Deconstructing and Reconstructing Art for Access," the Berman Museum at Ursinus College and the Greater Philadelphia Consortium of Women’s Studies present a lecture by Rosemarie Garland-Thomson, a renowned scholar of women’s and disabilities studies. Author of Staring: How We Look and co-editor of a 2010 volume of essays, Re-Presenting Disability: Activism and Agency in the Museum, Garland-Thomson will address the ways in which the issues of gender and disability intersect.
The event is free and open to the public.
