Fake Census Bureau Employee Tried To Enter Harleysville Home
The resident refused to let the fake census worker inside, police said.

HARLEYSVILLE, PA — Police are warning the public to be on the lookout for a man who tried to enter a local home by pretending to be an employee of the U.S. Census Bureau.
Census employees are going door to door in certain local communities, including the Lower Salford and Harleysville area, officials confirmed, but this individual was not one of them.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at around 10 a.m. on the 300 block of Main Street in Harleysville.

When the resident refused to let the man inside, he left the area, police said.

Officials said the suspect is a white male who is about 6 feet tall, with brown hair, wearing a grey shirt and basketball shorts.
Real census employees will have identification on them, and also carry official U.S. Census Bureau bags. They don't usually wear basketball shorts.
