Fire At Hatfield Home Remains Under Investigation

It's not yet clear what caused the blaze that drew a significant response from local fire companies Thursday morning.

HATFIELD TOWNSHIP, PA — The cause of a fire at a home in Hatfield Township Thursday morning remains under investigation, authorities said, a day after first responders swiftly put out what could have turned into a destructive blaze.

The incident occurred at 8:14 a.m. on School Road.

The first firefighters on scene secured a hydrant and ran a handline to the second floor of the dwelling, where flames were visible.

Crews searched the structure, opened the ceiling, and swiftly extinguished the blaze.

No injuries were reported.

The Hatfield Township Fire Marshal’s Office is leading the ongoing investigation.

Hatfield was assisted by crews from the Hilltown Township Volunteer Fire Company, Perseverance Volunteer Fire Company, Fairmount Fire Company, Towamencin Volunteer Fire Company, Telford Fire Company, and Colmar Volunteer Fire Company.
