Former North Penn Teacher Makes Move To Lakeside

Lakeside School in North Wales has hired a new English instructor.

LANSDALE, PA – Tina Lewis, from Warrington, PA, has joined Lakeside as an English instructor for Lakeside School located in North Wales, PA.October

“It’s great to have Tina on the team,” says Peter Dillard, program director of Lakeside School. “She has a natural gift to connect with students of all ages and is creative and thoughtful in her work.”

Lewis earned her bachelor of arts in Secondary Education from Holy Family University, Philadelphia, PA and is certified in English grades 7-12.

“What drew me to work at Lakeside school was the people- both students and staff,” says Lewis. “The students can be challenging but I love that I can be the calm in their storm. As for the staff, they are amazing. I was a tiny bit nervous about switching to a new campus and starting over in a new place...however, it has been an easy transition. The camraderie among the staff is great.”

Prior to Lakeside School, Lewis worked at Upper Merion Vantage Academy, a division of Lakeside, located in Bridgeport, PA, as a substitute instructor. She has also been a long term substitute teacher for the North Penn School District.
“I love the small class sizes and the opportunity to connect with students,” Lewis said.

Lakeside, a long-standing nonprofit serving the needs of over 2500 students annually throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, provides a range of therapeutic educational programs and services. Lakeside School is currently serving several school districts in Bucks, Chester and Montgomery counties.
