German Grocer Announces Opening Date For Towamencin Store
A new grocery store is coming to Towamencin this month.

TOWAMENCIN, PA — A German grocer is opening up a new store in Towamencin this month.
The new Lidl location will be in the former Towamencin Acme on 1150 Welsh Road.
The grand opening event will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 7:40 a.m.

Talks have been underway for at least a year to have the popular chain fill the gap left by Acme's closure.
“Lidl is bringing high quality groceries at low prices to the community of Lansdale and we are so excited to be your local team here at the store,” Lansdale Store Manager Jack Barboza said in a news release. “We will work hard to serve you with an incredible shopping experience every day.”

The Towamencin location is Lidl's seventh in Pennsylvania.
The store's hours will be 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Sunday.
