Harleysville Man, 36, Killed In Crash

Police said speed and a traffic signal violation may have been contributing causes.

HARLEYSVILLE, PA — A Harlyesville man was killed Wednesday night in a crash in Bucks County.

The incident occurred at around 6:30 p.m. in Hilltown Township, at the intersection of Route 113 at Diamond Street.

The victim, identified as 36-year-old Robert Strohm, 36, was pronounced dead at the scene.

It's not yet clear what caused the crash, though police said that they are investigating whether speed and a traffic signal violation were contributing factors.

A second driver was transported by ambulance to Grand View Hospital with unspecified injuries.

Nearby roads were shut down for over three hours as police inspected the scene.

Hilltown Police were assisted at the scene by Chal-Brit Regional EMS, Silverdale Fire Company, the Bucks County Coroner’s Office, and Fire Police from several area fire companies.
