Hazmat Crews Called To Franconia After Leak

It's not yet clear what caused the incident.

FRANCONIA TOWNSHIP, PA — Hazmat crews have been called to a business in Montgomery County after a leak Friday morning.

The incident began at around 11:30 a.m. on the 600 block of Mill Road in Franconia Township, according to Montco Incident Alerts.

The building is the location of Godshall's Quality Meats.

A spokesperson for Godshall told Patch that the leak was not ammonia, as previously reported. Godshall only uses freon, which is the material that spilled.

The described the leak as "minor."
