ICYMI: Lansdale Woman Struck By SEPTA Train Line Committed Suicide: Report

The North Wales woman who was struck and killed by a SEPTA train between the North Wales and Gwynedd Valley stops Tuesday morning committed suicide, according to the Times Herald.

The incident took place just before 6 a.m. Tuesday morning along the Lansdale/Doylestown line, according to media reports.

Deanna Posavec, 40, died after being struck near the Pennsylvania Avenue overpass, reports state.

The engineer blew his horn and applied the brake but could not avoid Posavec, according to the report.

Trains resumed normal service at about 9:45 a.m.

It’s the second death in the last few weeks along the Lansdale/Doylestown line. In June, a woman committed suicide by stepping in front of the train near Ambler.
