A Majority Of Lansdale-Area Residents Support Hillary Clinton For President
Campaign contributions from Lansdale and its immediate neighbors show support for the former First Lady over all other candidates.

A total of $1,675,475 million in presidential campaign contributions have been made in Pennsylvania, with Democrats raising $995,912 and Republicans adding $679,554.
According to the Federal Election Commission’s 2015 quarterly report, $183,404 of those contributions were made in Lansdale, Montgomeryville, North Wales, Ambler, and Towamencin.

- Hillary Clinton: $160,775
- Bernie Sanders: $11,774
- Jeb Bush: $4,400
- Bobby Jindal: $2,700
- Marco Rubio: $1,250
- Ted Cruz: $1,175
- Rick Santorum: $1,080
- Rand Paul: $250
The rest of the candidates did not receive more than negligible local contributions.
Clinton similarly topped the charts in the rest of Pennsylvania, raising four times as much as the next closest competitor, Ted Cruz.

Nationally, Clinton ($47.1 million) also leads Sanders ($15.1 million) and Cruz ($14.3 million).
Most polls give Clinton a much narrower lead in simulated elections against Bush, Paul, Rubio, or Donald Trump, according to Real Clear Politics.
