Lansdale Borough Fires Manager, Council Changes Leadership

Lansdale Borough has fired its manager, Timi Kirchner, effective immediately, according to reports.

The move to terminate Kirchner happened during a meeting Wednesday, when council also changed leadership, according to The Reporter. Previous council president Jason Van Dame was replaced by Democrat Leon Angelichio.

In describing the reasons for firing Kirchner, Angelichio said it was not personal but rather he has a different “vision” for the borough.

Angelichio, who represents Ward Three, has been on Council since January 2014, according to the Borough’s website. His term expires in December 2017.

Kirchner was hired in 2010 to replace former manager F. Lee Mangan.
